In 1974, Episcopal activist Dr. Louie Crew announced a new publication, "INTEGRITY", and the first chapter meeting was held in Chicago. The next year the first convention was held in Chicago with Ellen Barrett and Jim Wickliff as co-presidents. In 1982, then President John Fortunato established a national office in Washington, DC.
