Hist/Bio Note
Integrity, Incorporation, today known as Integrity USA, is a nonprofit organization working through the Episcopal Church to provide an all-inclusive church community where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions can come together and worship. Louie Crew founded the organization in Georgia in 1974, originally as a newsletter to help gay and lesbian Episcopalians connect with and support other gay and lesbian members of the Episcopalian Church. In 2019, when the finding aid was written, the organization had sixty chapters across the United States; its ministries helped to promote equal rights and inclusion of the LGBTIQA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, Asexual, plus) community within the Episcopal Congregations.
