It includes Downtown Chapel (Catholic) Gay & Lesbian Ministry materials concerning the chapel's ministry to the gay and lesbian community; First Unitarian Church of Portland flyers for gay and lesbian themed forums; Integrity (Episcopalian) newsletters concerning gay & lesbian ministry; Metropolitan Community Church (Portland) materials; Presbyterians for Lesbian & Gay Concerns of Oregon quarterly newsletter, July 1993; Portland Community of Welcoming Congregations 1996 brochure for "Welcoming the Whole Family"; Radical Faeries flyer for Passion Dancing Naked II; Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church (Hillsboro, OR) newsletter regarding gay & lesbian ministry; various church ministries to victims of AIDS.

Hist/Bio Note

Materials were collected by the Gay and Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest (GLAPN), established in Portland, Oregon, by Tom Cook in the early 1990s. Since then the organization has collected archival materials and oral histories from organizations and individuals active in lesbian and gay issues in the Portland area and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
