Description
There are two ephemeral collections at the Hall-Carpenter Archives. The first, the Friends Homosexual Fellowship Collection consists of newsletters, leaflets, a conference report, and an address by Jeremy Greenwood. The second, Quaker Lesbian and Gay Fellowship, includes early pamphlets: "Towards a Quaker view of sex: an essay by a group of Friends", published by the Friends Home Service Committee (London, 1966 reprint); Homosexuality from the inside", by David Blamires, published by the Social Responsibility Council of the Religious Society of Friends (London, 1973); and "Friends Homosexual Fellowship: a Quaker gay group", NUS Gay Rights Mailing no.4, nd, as well as many later publications.
Hist/Bio Note
Originally the Friends Homosexual Fellowship, it adopted this name in 1991.
